Dear MVSC families:
I hope this note finds you all doing well, and enjoying the recent weather we’ve had locally! As players, coaches and parents all prepare for a very hectic time of year in sports in general, but especially in Youth Soccer, it is important to keep things in perspective in regards to putting Player Development first, even before winning, in an effort to ensure players continue to progress, but also continue to have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful game. For this reason, I wanted to provide an excellent informational video regarding Parent Education with regards to perspective on Player Development.
Tim Bradbury is the Director of Coaching Education in Eastern New York. He is a U.S. Soccer Federation (“USSF”) ‘A’ licensed Coach who also works on the staff at the U.S. Soccer Federation and NSCAA Coaching Education.
Tim has shared his Parent Education presentation with us at Mockingbird Valley Sports Complex (MVSC), and I would encourage all of you to take some time to watch it, as it is also becoming adopted by many State Soccer Associations across the Country. Here is the link to the hour-long video that I feel you will find the information very useful as parents of young soccer players:
Please feel free to share this information with all soccer families including those that do not play at Mockingbird Valley Sports Complex!
Thank you for your attention to this! We look forward to continuing to offer Programming at MVSC that puts Player Development first, and hope that your family will continue to join us at MVSC as we work hard to establish and grow the love of the beautiful game of soccer in each child we have the opportunity to work with!
